EV & Hybrid Collision Repair in Lowry Crossing
A crash on an electric or hybrid car means extra checks around the battery and high-voltage wiring. We lay those out before work starts and report back as each one is done.

Under the floor of an electric or hybrid car sits a large battery, wired through orange cables that can hold a charge even after a crash, so step one is shutting all of that down safely. The carmaker publishes shutdown steps for each model, and we follow them before any panel is unbolted. From there, the job looks a lot like any collision repair, with extra attention to the battery housing, cooling lines and the sensors that watch them. Paint curing needs care too, because high booth heat can be hard on a battery pack. More of the cars we see belong to drivers who commute toward Allen and Fairview, and many owners have never been through a repair on one. That is why your plan lists each high-voltage step alongside the bodywork, and our updates tell you when each one is complete.
High-Voltage Steps on Your Repair Plan
Alongside the usual bodywork, these are the items an electric or hybrid repair adds. Each gets checked off and reported as it is finished.
Maker shutdown procedure
We disconnect and isolate the high-voltage system using the model's published steps, then confirm it is de-energized before work begins.
High-voltage gloves and insulated tools
Anyone working near live circuits wears rated protective gear, and tools stay insulated until the system is confirmed safe.
Battery pack and tray inspection
The pack housing, mounting points and underbody shields are inspected for dents, scrapes or fluid that point to deeper trouble.
Orange cable routing review
Every orange cable and plug in the crash zone is followed end to end and checked for pinches, cuts or loose clips.
Thermal system look-over
Coolant lines and the radiator that manage battery temperature are checked for leaks and kinks after any front or underbody hit.
Low-heat refinishing
Paint is cured at temperatures the maker allows for the battery, which can mean longer cures that we plan for.
Module scans and charge test
Scans before and after catch faults, and a charge check confirms the car takes power normally once it is back together.
Driver-assist calibration as needed
Cameras and radar disturbed by the repair are aimed again so safety features work as designed.
From Arrival to Charge-Up
- 01
Make it safe and write the plan
The car is moved into a marked area and the shutdown procedure is completed first. Then we inspect the damage and the battery area and write a plan that pairs each body repair with the high-voltage checks it needs. You get a copy and a call walking through it.
- 02
Teardown, parts and repairs
Damaged parts come off and the underbody gets a close look. Parts specific to electric models can take longer to arrive, and you will hear when they are ordered and when they land. Structure and panel repairs follow the maker's procedure, and any new finding near the battery is explained before we continue.
- 03
Reconnect, test and release
Once paint is cured and parts are back on, we restore the high-voltage system and run scans. The car gets a charge test and a short test drive along US 380. When everything checks out, we call you to pick up and review the plan line by line.
Why Electric Car Owners Feel at Ease Here
Safety steps you can see on paper
Each high-voltage step is written into your plan and checked off. You never have to wonder whether the battery got a proper look.
Patience with paint and parts
Electric repairs sometimes need longer cures and harder-to-find parts. We tell you that up front so there are fewer surprises later.
Answers for a first EV repair
If this is your first repair on an electric car, we put each step into everyday terms and take your questions as they come.
