Auto Painting & Refinishing in Lowry Crossing

Sun along SH 121 fades clear coat, and a fender repaired after a Lucas fender-bender needs to match the door beside it. Either way, we tell you how the color is coming along.

Paint Work Explained Coat by Coat

Most of what makes a paint job last happens before the spray gun comes out. Before color goes on, the surface is sanded, cleaned, masked and primed so the finish bonds and lies flat. Your car's paint code is the starting point for color, but sunlight and age shift every finish a little, so we spray sample cards and hold each one up to your car outdoors. Fading the new color into neighboring panels lets the eye read the whole side as one shade. Texas sun takes a toll on clear coat, and many cars around Lowry Crossing and Princeton show peeling or chalky roofs and hoods. We let you know when prep is done, when color is down and when the final finish has been checked.

Refinish Services on the Menu

From a single panel to a full respray, here is what paint and refinishing work can include.

  • Paint code lookup

We find your factory paint code and pull the formula as a starting point for the match.

  • Test cards sprayed before panels

Test panels are sprayed and compared to your car so the color is right before it goes on the repair.

  • Surface prep and priming

We scuff the existing finish, prime any bare or repaired spots and wipe everything down with a degreaser so the new coats bond.

  • Masking and protection

Glass, trim and neighboring panels are covered so overspray does not land where it shouldn't.

  • Adjacent panel blending

Color is feathered into neighboring panels so the transition is not visible from any angle.

  • Clear coat restoration

Peeling or faded clear coat is sanded off and resprayed to bring back depth and shine.

  • Full or partial repaints

Whole-car repaints and multi-panel refinishing are available for cars with widespread fading or damage.

  • Cut, buff and final review

Dust nibs and texture are polished out, and the finish is checked outdoors before you pick up.

How Paint Work Moves Through the Booth

  1. 01

    Sand, mask and prime

Every area being painted is sanded, cleaned and masked. Bodywork is primed and blocked smooth. When the prep stage is done, that's your next update from us. Rust or old body filler uncovered during sanding means a phone call from us before we go further.

  2. 02

Confirm color, then lay it down

Sample cards get sprayed and checked against the car first. Then the booth cycle starts: basecoat, followed by clear. Neighboring panels that receive blend color are handled with equal care. We ring you once the paint is down and curing.

  3. 03

Polish, refit and look it over outdoors

After curing, the finish is sanded and polished where needed. Trim and parts are reinstalled. We check the color outside in natural light, then let you know it's ready and show you the result.

Why Our Paint Process Keeps You Informed

  • Color checked before it counts

Test cards come before panels, so color problems are caught on a card, not on your car.

  • Sanding and priming get their full time

Most paint failures start with poor prep. We take the time on sanding and priming, and we tell you when it is done.

  • Plain talk on tricky colors

Some tri-coat and pearl finishes are harder to match. Before we begin, you'll know what a realistic match looks like on those finishes.
